Application

CDG provides historical research and planning guidance for property owners wishing to register their house through Halifax Regional Municipality’s (HRM) Heritage Property Program. This report is compiled to meet the requirements of HRM’s Supplementary Documentation section of a registration application.

 

The purpose of the report is to:

  • determine the age of the building on the property and provide a site summary;

  • identify historical importance and ownership history; and,

  • identify any contextual relationships.

 

This research includes time to conduct archival research and involves a site visit to document the exterior of the building for the purpose of the report.
